It has been a very exiting journey. I continue to learn new things every day!
How did you join Alo? It all started on spring 2013, when I did a 4-week practice in Production Engineering as part of my Swedish studies after having moved from Guatemala to Sweden the year before. The program is called “Korta vägen” (The Short Way)and it is a full-time high-pace program for foreign university graduates that not only focuses on teaching Swedish vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation but also introduces the students to the Swedish working environment.
After that, I came back in 2015 as a consultant to work in Production Engineering. For 7 months I worked on some packaging material projects and had the opportunity to be part of the team who handled a very stressful and complex change of supplier.
And on April this year I became an Ålö employee and started as SQE in the Purchasing Department. It has been a very exciting journey, especially because there is so much going on with the new generation of front loaders coming up!
What’s the best thing about working at Ålö? The best for me is the opportunity to come in contact with a wide diversity of suppliers and processes. They are located almost all over the world. Plus the fact that I know I have the full support of my working team.I continue to learn new things (and new Swedish words) every day!
Can you describe Ålö with three words? Global, competitive and complex.
