How did you join Ålö? In a few words could you describe your main tasks in your position?
In 2015 I was working as a consultant manager in an attempt to try something outside of the production world. Before that I had a couple of years of experience from Volvo Trucks but wanted to try something completely different. When an old colleague reached out to me about a temporary position within Ålö, I simply could not resist to get back to the high pace world that production is! Since then I have tried out different roles within the organization and I am a part of the sourcing team since 2018.
To keep it short, main tasks of the job is handle the entire RFQ process, to initiate and lead sourcing projects and participate in new development projects.
What type of background is needed for your job?
You need to be able to work independently as well as together in various teams. Good skills in communication and negotiation for all of the situations this job leads you to, both internally and externally. You need to appreciate the fast pace and utilize the stress that comes with this task and turn it into energy!
