Logistics Coordinator


Ålö is one of the world's leading suppliers in the agricultural machinery industry. We have been developing and manufacturing top-quality front-end loaders under the brands Quicke® and Trima®, and associated implements under Original Implements™, since 1949.

We are currently seeking a Logistics Coordinator to add to our team in Telford, TN. This position will report directly to the Supply Chain Manager. If you have the knowledge and skills that are detailed below, we are interested in speaking with you.

Main Duties:

  • Keep abreast of production and shipping schedules.
  • Contact customers to set up deliveries and coordinate shipment.
  • Communicate with key project stakeholders (i.e. salesperson) on any shipping issues.
  • Track delivery progress of shipments.
  • Develop truck load sheets to pre-plan how trucks will get loaded to reduce shipping costs.
  • Determine method of shipment and prepare bills of lading, invoices, and shipping documents.
  • Check import or export documentation to determine cargo contents and use tariff coding system to classify goods according to fee or tariff group.
  • Quote and arrange transport of goods with shipping or freight companies.
  • Develop shipping schedules (with dates and times) for internal use on when trucks will be loaded and for external use in communicating with trucking companies
  • Trace lost shipments as necessary.
  • Serve as a backup for Inventory Control and Shipping/Receiving area.
  • Able to develop and maintain positive and cooperative working relationships with and between customers, salespersons, vendors, freight companies, and coworkers to help support KPI goals of good pricing, on time delivery and inventory accuracy.
  • Set a good example of personal integrity within the company and with external customers.
  • Verifies product inventory reports by comparing logs and reports; adjusting entries.
  • Monitors inventory by completing counts as required.

Knowledge & Skills Required:

  • MRP experience (Movex a plus)
  • Microsoft Office proficiency with advanced Excel skills
  • Practical problem solver, highly organized, and self-motivated
  • Must be adaptable and have the ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Flexibility to work overtime, including weekends


  • Associate’s Degree (Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business related preferred) from an accredited college or university required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Work experience in a similar environment or capacity preferred
